How To Be Human
THERE CAN BE NO PEACE WITHOUT UNITY
AND NO UNITY WITHOUT HUMANITY
Born as Homo sapiens, being human is not merely a biological condition. Evolution has brought us from the animal state to the threshold of something greater. Yet our technological progress has outstripped our moral development. We possess immense power, but too often remain governed by greed, selfishness, fear and hatred.
Â
How to Be Human asks a fundamental question: What are we capable of becoming?
To be truly human is to rise above survival and self-interest—to develop the Self through conscious thought, discipline and purposeful action founded on Permanent Values: compassion, truth, justice, integrity, responsibility and accountability.
But evolution does not end with becoming human. There is something beyond this state of being.
Â
Our highest potential is realised through endeavour: confronting challenges, cultivating inner strength, serving others and contributing to the advancement of humanity. A life’s value is measured not by what it possesses, but by what it gives and ultimately becomes. The ordinary cannot become extraordinary through wishful thinking.
Â
To realise its full potential and give value to its existence, each Self must raise the measure of its own endeavour.
From animal to something beyond—our evolution is now in our own hands.
But first, we must become human.
